Paediatric Care

2024-04-10T01:39:13+00:00

Looking after our young patients is very important to us. We take great joy in looking after our babies and young families. Our practice has 8 doctors that have the additional qualification of Diploma of Child Health. Our four nurses have all completed a post graduate immunisation course. We have a purpose built vaccination room and a separate children’s play area. In order to allow enough time for a comprehensive developmental check, our immunisation appointments are designed to give 30 minutes with the registered nurse as well as time with the GP. As a team they administer the vaccination together.

For children 5-11 years of age, please discuss with a doctor or nurse in order to obtain a suitable vaccination.
If you receive your vaccine elsewhere, please let us know when you next have a visit so that we can record this in your medical record at our practice.

Our Quality Improvement Strategy

2024-09-07T03:41:16+00:00

Our Strategy

One of the fundamentals of quality and safety in healthcare is to embed a strategy for continuous quality improvement and to never stop trying to become better. As part of our service, accountability and commitment to you, we believe that we should continuously look to improve and build on the service that we provide.

We want to make sure that the care we provide to the individual, as well as all of our practice population, is effective, evidence based, safe and focuses on prevention as well as illness.

We do this by measuring what we do, including measurements based around the experience of our patients, what our patients report about their health, as well as health and prevention measures on our population of patients. We have set up a dashboard of performance on this website. By using and tracking these measures, and by discussing these issues at […]

2024-09-08T14:09:25+00:00
We are lucky to have Matthew Roumanus (B. Podiatry, B. HSc), a podiatrist, offering podiatric services to all our patients. Matthew has experience in treating patients of all ages.

Seeing a podiatrist may help you if you have:

  • Foot and leg pain
  • Corns and Calluses
  • Toenail problems such as ingrown toenails
  • Foot arthritis
  • Diabetes
  • Walking issues
  • Problems with footwear
  • Need advice about orthotics

If you are unsure whether a podiatrist can help you please feel free to ask your GP, nurse, or team.

What can you expect at your appointment?

The typical duration for appointments is 30 minutes, however this can vary depending on the condition(s). Matthew will always try to stay on time. Matthew always begins with a chat to gather a comprehensive history and an understanding of your mutual goals. Then comes any necessary assessments or treatments. Often, […]

QI Dashboard

2024-09-26T01:21:11+00:00

This page displays a summary of the measures in our quality improvement efforts. Please refer to the specific sections for more detail. We prefer to use “run charts” to display this information, as it is the best way to display change over time and to best identify efforts that have and haven’t worked. All measures take into account “active patients” – that is patients who have attended the practice at least three times in 2 years. We will set goals for our improvement efforts in due course. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any information.
