Most vaccinated people who have Covid-19 have a mild illness. This can usually be managed at home like any other viral illness. Many people don’t have any symptoms at all. Some have a mild illness that lasts a few days. General advice about managing symptoms and when to seek medical help can be found HERE and HERE.

If you develop severe symptoms (particularly severe headache or dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pressure or pain) you should call Triple Zero (000) straightaway and tell the ambulance staff that you have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Some things may place you at higher risk of severe illness and you should let us know if you are:

  • Over 65 years of age
  • Not vaccinated
  • Have a severe chronic illness and a severely compromised immune system
  • Pregnant

If you are “high risk”, you may receive a call from the NSW Health Covid-19 management at home team. If you don’t, please let us know and we can assess your risk and if need be, refer you to a hospital based team who can look after you at home.
